In the inventory there are 13 slots (14 in the previous title) which of 6 (or possibly 7) are already known items. The game will feature variety of vehicles to travel around the world map. The hero's adventure will start from Arne Village and he lives near an ancient structure called Beacon. It has many locations and sub-locations each with distinct characters, scenery, and enemies. The World of Arcadia on the Terraformed Planet of Gaia is where the story takes place. Its battle system consists of sword fighting, utilizing powerful spells, and finding creative ways to use various items that Hero discovers on his travels. The game is played from a third person camera angle that will take players right into the heat of action and allow them to explore even the smallest details of Arcadia. Oceanhorn 2 received mostly mixed to positive reviews from critics, with them praising the visuals and overworld but criticizing its lack of originality, stating that the elements were based too much on The Legend of Zelda series. However, Hero and his friends discover that there is much more truth to Arcadia (and them) hidden behind the curtain and the decision of the impending fate of Arcadia will come into motion, leading to the events of Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. On their journey, they return the Sacred Emblems to their pedestals to help leader Archimedes finish his project of the Grand Core, which will presumably lead the Arcadians into the next level of existence. The story follows how Hero, a Knight of Arcadia, and his friends fight mysterious warlock Mesmeroth’s Dark Army to protect Arcadia. The game is the prequel to Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, being set 1,000 years before the events of that game. It also released on the Nintendo Switch on October 28th, 2020 according to the game page on the developer's website and is currently being published on other platforms by FDG Entertainment. It was released on September 19th, 2019 on the Apple Arcade streaming service (iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and Mac). Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is an open-world action-adventure video game developed and published by Finnish game company Cornfox and Bros.
